#8 Jean Hall

For more than 30 years, I have been proud to call Rochdale Village home. This community is more than where I live—it is where I have chosen to serve.

I retired from the Social Security Administration after 33 years of distinguished federal service and bring more than two decades of managerial leadership experience in Equal Employment Opportunity law, labor and contract negotiations, building operations, and financial management. My lifelong commitment to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, has also reinforced a principle that continues to guide me: service to all mankind.

As President of the Rochdale Village Board of Directors, I am committed to transparent, accountable, and responsible leadership. My priorities include strengthening policies and operations, encouraging collaboration, protecting long-term affordability, and helping ensure that shareholders remain informed and engaged in the future of their cooperative.

As President of Cooperators United for Reform, I host virtual meetings where shareholders can receive information, exchange ideas, and participate in meaningful conversations about our community. I believe informed and engaged cooperators are essential to a strong Rochdale Village.

I also serve as Chairperson of the Senior Citizens Committee and Chair of the IT Committee. Through the IT Committee, we are working toward a dynamic new website and mobile app designed to make information and resources more accessible to shareholders.

Since Douglas Elliman Management was hired in February 2026, we have gained greater clarity regarding significant matters requiring attention, including finances, capital projects, arrears, accounts payable, promised funding, and compliance concerns. Addressing these challenges requires thoughtful planning, accountability, consistent follow-through, and leadership willing to confront difficult issues.

Leadership also means listening. Through my “Let’s Talk” conversations in building lobbies, I have heard directly from shareholders about their concerns and priorities. Continued attention to resident needs has contributed to practical improvements, including expanded laundry-room access for shareholders with ADA building clickers and progress on smaller but meaningful maintenance projects throughout our complex.

We are making progress, but there is more work to do. I remain committed to working with colleagues and shareholders who embrace hard work, positive changes, progressive ideas, and a shared responsibility for Rochdale Village’s future.

There are no shortcuts and no overnight fixes. There is simply the work—and together, we are more than capable of doing it.
